Kasandra (Kassi) Kister, PA-C, was born and raised in Riverton, Wyoming. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, earning a degree in physiology. During this time, she gained her first patient care experience by working as a certified nursing assistant at a hospice home, fostering her passion for compassionate care. In addition, she did volunteer work for patients with disabilities while studying abroad for a semester in Spain.

Kassi earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University, where she trained in eight specialties with a focus on rural healthcare in the Mountain West region. Her experiences cultivated a deep interest in expanding access to high-quality healthcare in rural communities, with an emphasis on preventive care and chronic disease management.

Currently, Kassi is pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science degree to further enhance her clinical expertise and improve patient experience.

Kassi is excited to return to her hometown of Riverton to practice medicine and serve her community. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, running, swimming, fly fishing, and reading.
