Haley Mortin, PA, was born and raised in Boise Idaho, and she completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. During that time she worked for ISU’s outdoor program teaching rock climbing and cross-country skiing, and had her first experiences in medicine as a caregiver in a memory care facility and as a volunteer EMT in the rural town of Pine, ID.
She returned to ISU for her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, where her clinical training spanned 8 specialties, 7 states, and 6 rural areas, and helped her develop special interests in patient education, chronic condition management, preventative medicine, and women’s health.
Fremont County first found its way into her heart as a cross-country skiing stop on her way home from a clinical rotation in Nebraska. During that quick visit she fell in love with the area and the people, and she returned to interview at LMC the day after her PA school graduation.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, cooking, and knitting.
