Samantha Skelton is a doctorate prepared Certified Nurse Midwife that has been working for women and their families for nearly twenty years. She started her career in nursing here in Lander, and proceeded to do travel nursing around the west from Alaska to California and many places in between, from high volume urban centers to rural healthcare. She most recently returned to Lander from a midwifery practice in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Samantha graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working in labor and delivery/women’s health for many years, she felt passionate about returning to school to become a provider. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Certified nurse midwifery was the natural progression to specialize in caring for women and families throughout the continuum of their lives, from puberty through menopause. Her practice is focused on educating women regarding their healthcare decisions and empowering them to take an active voice in their care.

Sam most enjoys strong coffee, slow mornings, and evening fishing. She loves the outdoors and cherishes sharing it with her son, and instilling a respect and conservation of nature. An ideal Saturday includes a cup o’ Joe, and engaging read, an afternoon ski, and a lively game of cards.
