Darr moved to Lander in 1958 from Lead, South Dakota and graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1970. Throughout the years he worked for both US Steel/Atlantic City Ore Operations and Fremont County Ambulance, until receiving a degree  in nursing from Central Wyoming College in 1993.  Once a Registered Nurse, Darr worked  for the Wyoming State Training School for four years. He then went on to receive his Physician Assistant training and degree from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

Bob and his wife, Hannah, live in Lander. They have seven children and sixteen grandchildren. Darr enjoys the mountains, fishing, hunting, and everything the county has to offer. He is dedicated to church, family, and giving the best medical care and concern to his patients.
