COVID-19 Latest Update – Expanded Telehealth Services

Telehealth has been proven to improve overall health outcomes for chronic disease patients, reduce hospitalizations and re-admissions among high risk patients, prevent acute events, support adherence to prescribed plans of care, improve patient experience, and lower costs to both patients and providers.

Karen R. Thomas, founder of Advanced Telehealth Solutions

As we work our way through the month of April amidst the current COVID-19 situation, we would like our patients to know that we are now offering HIPPA compliant and secured telehealth or “Virtual Visits” as a way to see our providers from the comfort and convenience of your own home — or office, or anywhere! — on your computer, tablet, or smart phone.

We are wanting to continue to provide you with quality healthcare services, and feel that these options will help keep everyone safe and continue such things as medication refills, blood pressure monitoring, etc. We are doing our best to keep you safe and not interrupt any healthcare services you may require.

All you have to do is call the office and make your appointment, the same way you would for an in-office visit. When your appointment time comes, just sign in through the Zoom link that has been emailed to you, and we’ll connect directly to you.  It really is that easy.

Here is a visual of how to set up Zoom for both Apple and Android users:

Also, if you do not have access to a tablet, smartphone or computer, but have in home WIFI, we can lend a tablet to you for the virtual visit.  Just let us know what you need.

Finally, if none of this will work for you, we still are seeing patients in our offices for regular patient care.  If you are too nervous to come in to our clinic, please call us to see if we can schedule a telephone visit or see you in your car.

During this uncertain time of the COVID 19 Pandemic, we are working hard to provide the best care in the most convenient way.  We hope to hear from you.

Let’s stay healthy together.

We appreciate your understanding with the many updates and changes. Please know that we are still seeing patients in the clinic for wellness, follow-up visits, and sick visits.

In an effort to minimize exposure to patients and staff:

  • We have telehealth options for appointments.
  • Follow directions by staff and signs to go to the correct entrance; this is an ongoing effort and may be subject to change, please have patience and be courteous to our staff directing you.
  • We are checking the temperatures of everyone who enters the building.
  • We are asking that you wear a face mask while in our buildings.
  • For most concerns regarding respiratory symptoms, we are trying to see patients in their cars or our Urgent Care area.

We have changed our hours for Urgent Care to 8AM – 5PM Monday – Friday.  This is a temporary measure and we will notify the community of further changes.

We are committed to keeping our patients and staff as healthy and safe as possible. We are proud to support our community in this ongoing situation.

Thank you,
Lander Medical Clinic & Western Family Care

Let’s stay healthy together!

Keeping you informed and safe is a top priority with Lander Medical Clinic and Western Family Care. We have been working with our Public Health Department and keeping up to date on current CDC and Wyoming Department of Health recommendations and statements.

We have compiled the following letter to address patient concerns and questions. As always, prevention is best and one should follow the guidelines to avoiding flu, such as

  • Washing hands often for 15-20 seconds or using an alcohol based sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid contact with sick people
  • Stay home when sick yourself
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue, promptly dispose of tissue and wash your hands

Please call our clinics if you have concerns or questions.
